What’s your style??

Are you following along, and joining in with Nikki’s Everyday Style?
If not, go check out her weekly wrap up!

I have been happily stalking away on the Instagram #everydaystyle for a while now, so thought it was time to add my everyday ‘style’ to the group.
This is what I have added so far – note the repeated-ness of my new bestest, most favourite, oh-so-comfy Jeanwest shorts?!

Top and shorts from Jeanswest.
Shoes from Betts.

Saying I love them is probably an understatement…!

Do you think you have an everyday style?

I use the word style very loosely, when talking about what I wear on a day-to-day basis.
I need my clothes to be comfortable and functional.
I have three kids to chase after and play with, and do house work in, and meet up for coffee and do the groceries etc etc etc.
I need my daily outfit to stay unchanged throughout the day.
I really hate changing my clothes just to go somewhere or do something.
I don’t have ‘house clothes’ or ‘cleaning clothes’.
I just have clothes.  And Lycra.  Apparently I own more Lycra than I realised!

Asics top, Nike legs, NewBalance shoes, Camelbak water bottle.

Just the normal everyday stuff, and then the nicer things that get brought out of the darkness of the wardrobe when required.

So I guess that is my everyday style?
It’s not a work uniform as such, but I guess it is my uniform.

Digestible Kitchen’s Flourless No Nut Chocolate Brownie

You know those times when, upon reading a recipe and taking in the deliciousness of a bloggers photographs, you know you just have to bake.

Right now.

And even venture out after dinner time, just to fill an ingredient gap.

I had one of those moments last night.image

I’m sure Natalie at Digestible Kitchen created these flourless no nut chocolate brownies just for me.  Absolutely positive!
And oh my bownie-ness, these are amazingly good!  And so easy and fast to whip up!
This isn’t like your typical brownie mix though, it makes almost a slice like, thin, crispy on the outside but gooey centred chocolate-y goodness.
Try this recipe out, you won’t be disappointed!!!

Waiting. Not so patiently…

So I really don’t like having to call Centrelink, or any government call centre really, but right now, I have been waiting on hold for 38 minutes, trying to sort out something that I thought I had easily (and quickly) updated through their online services.
But no.
No no.
I am on hold.
Being tortured with their awful elevator music. It does not have the desired calming effect at all.
Waiting to see what I did incorrectly to completely stuff up my whole little Centrelink world!
Why isn’t this stuff just easily done?!
Why oh why do I choose the worst time seemingly possible to have to call them?!
And waiting not so patiently means I’m not exactly in the best frame of mind once I do finally get to speak to someone…
Luckily, most of the time, the poor person on the other end of the line is really polite and super helpful…
Still waiting….!!

Hello there!

Welcome to the new Harvey Circus Blog!

It was time to start afresh, make some changes, and hopefully remember why our humble little blog was started in the very first place.

I need to find my blogging spark once more.

2014 sees the Circus embarking on some new and exciting adventures and I hope that you will come along for the ride!
